Annual Credit Union Art Competition Launches!

The 2026 Credit Union Art Competition is now open! We are excited to extend an invitation to people of all ages and abilities to represent Coalisland Credit Union at the local level of the competition.

This year’s competition theme is 'World of Colour'. The theme encourages participants to use art to explore the colours, experiences and perspectives that make
our world unique.

Whether inspired by nature, culture or imagination, entrants are encouraged to interpret the theme in their own way. From bright, bold landscapes to subtle moments of everyday beauty, “World of Colour” offers endless opportunities for artists to tell their stories through creativity.

Artwork will be judged on originality, artistic merit and how effectively it interprets the theme. Entries must be hand-drawn or painted, as digital artwork is not eligible. Local winners will progress to regional and national stages of the competition, representing Coalisland Credit Union.

The competition has two categories:

- General Category 

- Additional Needs Category

Each category has the following age groups in each category (based on age as of 31 December 2026):

• 7 years and under inclusive
• 8 - 10 years inclusive
• 11 - 13 years inclusive
• 14 - 17 years inclusive
• Adult - 18 years and over
• Group (Additional Needs Category)

The Additional Needs Category allows participants with a physical or intellectual disability to be actively encouraged by their teachers to submit entries in free expression painting or drawing, without the restrictions of the competition’s official theme (should they so wish).

Please note entries must be either A2 or A3 and landscape orientation, otherwise they will be unable to be considered for judging.
