Official Opening
'This investment is a statement of intent - we are here for the long haul.'
We recently celebrated the official opening of our new building, joined by representatives from the Irish League of Credit Unions including their President Martin Busch, members of our Board of Directors - past and present and Michelle O'Neill , who officially cut the ribbon alongside our manager, Brian O'Neill.
We were also delighted to welcome the local designers and tradespeople who brought this transformation to life-staying true to our commitment to supporting local. The delicious food was supplied by local business Kitch.
In an address to attendees Brian said 'The building and journey of the credit union represents the continued growth, resilience, and ambition of a community that believes in the power of people helping people... while other traditional banks have closed their doors to communities like ours, Coalisland Credit Union has opened new ones - quite literally, in this former bank building. We're proud to remain here, rooted and resolute - not as a bank, but in what we see as a better way of doing finance.
Our design was not just about aesthetics or modernisation. It was deliberate and specific. We endeavoured to create a space that promotes privacy for our members, with dedicated counter spaces and private offices where more sensitive and private conversations can take place in.
Today is about celebration - of where we've come f rom, what we've built together, and what lies ahead. As we officially open this building today, may it serve not just as a physical space - but as a symbol of cooperation, progress, and local pride.'
Our new office is located at 7 Dungannon Road, Coalisland, Co. Tyrone BT71 4HP
